A Pineywoods Hospice, Inc. feels that the end of life has no less meaning than the beginning.  Life should be lived with as much dignity as possible, and controlling symptoms can help accomplish this.

Our agency focuses on the symptoms of your disease rather than a cure.  “Palliative Care” is the emphasis of symptom control.  The demands of your illness will be met with treatment and the caring support from physicians and the hospice team of professionals.  Acceptance of “palliative Care” is a major step in living with your illness.

Care can be provided in homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and at times in a hospital.

If you have been diagnosed with an incurable disease and the option of curative treatment is not a viable choice or your personal choice, you should explore hospice care as an option.

Your family, loved ones, and friends will be provided education and support by our agency during and after your illness.

Call and talk confidentially to any of our caring staff to receive more information with no obligation.

Funding for Hospice

Hospice services are available to those who request care and meet the criteria of a terminal illness. Participants eligible for Medicare and Medicaid receive benefits through those programs. Many private insurance companies also offer Hospice benefits. Individuals who do not have insurance may still be eligible for Hospice services.

A Pineywoods Hospice Foundation was established to assist our neighbors in need of Hospice care. The foundation accepts donations, memorials, and sponsors to meet community needs.
